How can I best utilize a virtual assistant?
For a week, keep a running list of everything you do. No need to duplicate info. Once you've written a task down you can then use hash marks to keep track of how often you repeat it throughout the day. If you really want to get more detailed, you could even keep track of the actual time it took you to complete the task.
At the end of the week, add to the list the things you wish you could have done but put off because of lack of time, interest, or ability.
Once you've completed your list, highlight the items that really don't require your personal attention or specific skillset to complete.
You've just identified the specific things that a Virtual Assistant could do for you.
Since you’re working off-site, how do we conduct business? We communicate via email, phone, fax, or regular mail. Also, together we will decide upon response time, turnaround time, and a weekly meeting time for projects and routine communications.
How do I get started? Just contact me and we can set an appointment for a complimentary telephone consultation. During the consultation we'll talk about your goals and business needs and I will answer any questions you have about me as relates to my business.
If we decide to work together, after this or subsequent meetings, we will identify your needs and the most efficient solutions.
I will send you a Welcome Packet which includes a copy of our client policies & procedures and an independent contractor work agreement that outlines the terms we've agreed upon (i.e. type of service, pricing, delivery deadline if applicable, payment details, etc.). Once the signed agreement is faxed back and your payment has cleared , we will start on your project.
What if I'm dissatisfied with the work? Our work is 100% satisfaction guaranteed. All materials are processed “as is” with no editing unless specifically requested by the Client. We will spellcheck and do a read-through for proofreading only.
Final proofing is the responsibility of the client. Any minor edits found within 14-days of the project completion will be done at no charge to you. If you find errors in your original material that must be corrected after completion, the new work will be charged at the standard hourly rate.
